ASTRA is a non-profit association that provides leadership and resources to grow the specialty toy industry. Members build their businesses around specialty toys, which generally are designed with a focus on what the child can do, rather than what the toy can do. Read more here.

FirstBIKE received rave reviews at the New York Toy Fair which concluded Wednesday, February 13th. FirstBIKE was the winner of Parenting Magazine’s “Best in Play” product award and featured in the “Best of the 2013 Toy Fair.” Read the award review here. Additionally, FirstBIKE was once again a show winner and recipient of the Toy Man S.T.E.M. award for continued dedication to quality and innovation, and recognized for productive contributions from applied studies. Happy New Year from FirstBIKE! We’re looking forward to a great 2013 and wishing you and yours the same! We’ve all been doing some thinking over the holidays and to get the New Year started on a positive note, we share this video with you from a thoughtful student named Jonathan Reed. The video offers this recommended viewing guidance, “A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward. Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite. This is only a 1 minute 44 second video and it is brilliant. Award was presented to FirstBIKE by Rev. James G.W. Fisher, (a.k.a. The Toy Man®), founder and chief editor of The Toy Man® Product Guide, at the Toy Man® Product Guide Pavilion at the ABC Kids Expo in Louisville, Kentucky.
